The ch\u00e2teau, standing on the site of the 15th-century Manoir du Plessis-Gueriff, was restored in 1818 and it was then that a gardener working for the Duc de Berry designed the farmland. The 21 hectares purchased by the d\u00e9partement have been laid out to enable the general public to savour the quiet charms of the grounds and enjoy the special atmosphere that is a characteristic feature of the parkland surrounding great houses."}
